Introducing Shield Projects

School teaches subjects.
Shield builds founders.

A structured programme where CBSE Class 6–12 students tackle real problems, build genuine solutions, and earn a verified record that proves what they can actually do.

The gap we are fixing

Marks tell what a student memorised. Not what they can do.

Colleges, companies, and the world are asking a different question — and most students have no answer to it.

Exams test recall, not reasoningA student who scored 91% may never have solved a problem that wasn't in the textbook.
Projects become copy-paste exercisesThe “project” in most schools is a formatted PDF downloaded from the internet.
No record of real capabilityThere is nothing a student can show that proves they can think, research, and build.
Entrepreneurial mindset starts too lateFounder thinking — problem-first, curiosity-led — shouldn’t begin at a startup bootcamp. It should start at school.
The founder journey

Five stages. One verified record.

Each Shield Project follows a structured process that mirrors how founders actually work — from identifying a problem to presenting a solution.

1
Spot the Problem
Students observe their environment and articulate a real issue worth solving.
2
Research It
Primary surveys, secondary sources, data collection — real methodology, not a search-and-paste.
3
Design a Solution
Students propose a practical, implementable answer grounded in their research.
4
Present & Defend
A structured presentation with mentor Q&A — not just submitting a document.
5
Earn the Shield
Lalla AI and the subject mentor lock the score. It joins the student’s verified Shield record.
What they build

Founder skills, not subject marks.

Every project develops six capabilities that no exam paper can measure — and every college counsellor, scholarship panel, and future employer actually wants.

Problem Identification
Recognising what’s broken, why it matters, and who it affects — the first skill of any founder or innovator.
Research Quality
Building a case from real data. Students learn to separate noise from signal and cite what they actually found.
Solution Thinking
Moving from insight to action — designing an implementable answer with constraints in mind.
Presentation
Structuring and communicating ideas clearly. Not just a slide deck — a cohesive argument under questioning.
Real-World Relevance
Does the solution actually work in the world it addresses? Students are held to a standard beyond the classroom.
Founder Mindset
Comfort with ambiguity, curiosity-led inquiry, and full ownership over an outcome from start to finish.
Sample projects

Real problems. Real students.

Projects scale to the student’s class — a Class 7 student tackles neighbourhood-scale problems; a Class 12 student proposes district or national-level solutions.

Class 7 · Science
Water Quality Survey of Local Handpumps
Students tested pH and turbidity of neighbourhood water sources, mapped unsafe zones, and proposed a community maintenance schedule.
Community ImpactEnvironmental Science
Class 10 · Economics
Digital Readiness of Local Kirana Vendors
Surveyed 40 vendors on UPI adoption barriers, mapped digital literacy gaps, and proposed a ward-level training programme.
Economic ResearchEconomics + Maths
Class 9 · Social Science
School-Zone Traffic Safety Audit
Timed pedestrian crossings, recorded near-miss incidents for 2 weeks, and submitted a safety recommendation to the municipal ward officer.
Civic ActionSocial Science
Class 12 · Biology
Urban Green Cover and Mental Health Correlation
Cross-referenced satellite imagery of green cover with self-reported stress surveys across 6 urban wards in their city.
Public HealthBiology + Statistics
Class 8 · Maths
Classroom Space Optimisation Model
Used area and ratio concepts to redesign classroom seating for their school’s largest section, reducing dead space by 18%.
Applied MathsMathematics
Class 11 · Physics
Rooftop Solar Feasibility for School Canteen
Calculated load requirements, modelled panel output for their latitude, and presented a cost-payback analysis to school management.

How scores work

Every score is earned, explained, and locked.

No single judge, no single moment. Five dimensions, two evaluators, one tamper-proof record.

Lalla AI scores first — working through the submission against each rubric dimension. The subject mentor then reviews, may adjust, and signs off to lock the score permanently. Once locked, it cannot be changed.
